Emmy 2020, trionfano “Watchmen”, “Succession” e “Schitt’s Creek”

Emmy 2020 – Si è svolta allo Stamples Center di Los Angeles la 72esima edizione degli Emmy Awards  totalmente riformulata per l’emergenza Covid19. Non è stato presente il pubblico, non sono stati presenti i nominati in sala. Tutti i candidati sono stati presenti virtualmente tramite collegamento video e audio via web. A presentare la serata Jimmy Kimmel. Trionfa “Watchmen” con 11 premi.

Considerazioni

Prima di scorrere tutti i premiati e i premi, alcune considerazioni. “Watchmen” vince come miglior miniserie e altri 10 premi come da attese di critici e pubblico. A seguire “Schitt’s Creek” miglior serie comica con 9 , “Succession” miglior serie drammatica con 5 premi. Per la prima volta un solo show “Schitt’s Creek” vince nello stesso anno i 4 premi attoriali, serie Netflix canadese, giunta alla quinta stagione e ancora inedita in Italia. Regina King arriva a vincere il suo quarto Emmy in 6 anni. Zendaya è la più giovane attrice (24 anni) a vincere l’Emmy come miglior attrice drammatica in Euphoria.

Jimmy Kimmel li ha ribattezzati “PandEmmys” Awards.
